Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026.
This describes what scawages.com collects and what happens to it. It is short because we collect very little.
No advertising trackers, and no selling, renting or sharing of your data. We do not use it to train anything. We do use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get used — details below, including how to opt out.
Using the site without an account
The calculator requires no account, and the numbers you type never reach us. Wage determination data is downloaded to your browser and the pricing maths happens on your device, so your labor categories, hours and wage assumptions stay on your machine. We could not see your bid if we wanted to.
Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for operational and security purposes.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually use, so we know what is worth writing next. It sets cookies and reports things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (city or region, from your IP address), and what kind of device and browser you use. It does not receive anything you type into the pricer.
If you would rather not be counted, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on, and any ad or tracker blocker will also stop it. Nothing on this site breaks if you block it.
What we store if you create an account
- Your email address — to sign you in and to send alerts.
- Saved bids, if you save any — the name you give them, the wage determination number and revision, and the pricing inputs (labor categories, hours, wage assumptions, burden percentages).
- Alert subscriptions — which wage determinations you follow and the last revision we notified you about.
- Subscription state — whether you are on Free or Pro, your renewal date, and identifiers issued by Stripe.
We do not ask for your name, company, phone number or address. We never receive your card details — those go directly to Stripe.
Who else processes it
Only these, and only to run the Service:
- Vercel — hosting and server logs. United States.
- Supabase — the database holding your account, saved bids and alert subscriptions, and the sign-in system. United States (us-east-1).
- Stripe — payment processing and billing records, if you subscribe. Stripe is the controller of your payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Brevo — sends your sign-in links and alert emails, and so processes your email address.
- Google Analytics — counts visits and page views. It sees your IP address, pages viewed, and device/browser details. It does not receive your email address, your saved bids, or anything you enter into the pricer.
Cloudflare answers DNS queries for our domain but does not proxy site traffic, so it does not process your personal data.
Emails we send
Sign-in links, wage determination alerts you asked for, and occasional messages about your subscription or material changes to these terms. We do not send marketing email to people who signed up for the product. Stop alerts any time by unfollowing determinations in your account.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. Delete your account and your profile, saved bids and alert subscriptions are removed from our database along with it. Stripe retains billing and tax records independently for the period its own obligations require, and server logs age out on our host’s normal schedule.
Your choices
Email support@scawages.com to get a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and its data. We will action deletion requests promptly; there is no retention trick and nothing to talk you out of.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We apply the above to everyone regardless, because maintaining two standards would be more work than simply not collecting much.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Account data is protected by database row-level security, so one account cannot read another’s rows. Sign-in is by one-time emailed link, which means there is no password of yours for us to lose.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Children
The Service is for businesses bidding on federal contracts and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will email account holders. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
