Questions
Why is the pricer free?
Because the expensive part was already built. The crawler and the parsed rate data exist either way, and serving a calculator costs almost nothing. Charging for it would only stop people using the thing that demonstrates the data is any good.
What exactly do alerts do?
Price a bid, then choose “alert me if this changes”. Every week the crawler checks SAM.gov for new revisions of the determinations you follow. If one moves, you get an email saying which determination, which revision it moved from and to, and a link to re-price. You are told once per change — no digests, no noise.
Why does that matter enough to pay for?
Determinations are revised through the year and nobody notifies you. Price against a stale revision and the difference comes out of your margin, or you submit something non-compliant. On an option year, FAR 52.222-43 only reimburses the movement in the minimum rate, not what you are actually paying — so noticing early is the whole game.
What is the $49 founding rate?
Pro is $99 a month. While the product is new, the first subscribers pay $49 a month for 12 months, and are told up front that it returns to $99 after that. It is not a trial, there is no card trick at the end of it, and you can cancel at any point.
Do I need an account to use the pricer?
No. The calculator works with no account at all. An account only adds saved bids, which is also free.
How do I cancel?
From your account, in one click. It goes through Stripe’s billing portal, where you can also update your card and download invoices. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Is this legal advice?
No. Rates here are informational and the determination incorporated into your solicitation governs. See the plain-English guide for what the Act actually requires.
